BALANCE AND MOVEMENT

In this look, we wanted to create a garment that gives the wearer a feeling of holding balance at the same time as moving with it. We got inspired by spirit level rulers that are used for construction. The wearer is challenged by exploring the body balance in the upper part of the body. The sleeves have jelly pearls inside so that the wearer can make little movements and gestures to move the pearls around. Because of the organic movements, these moving pearls can create a feeling of visual satisfaction. The wearer gets to explore him/herself and appreciate the movements one body can make. The small and balanced out movements will help the wearer to get into a trance-like mood. Looking at the colour palette we also tried to focus on colours that are visually balanced. The colour of the bodysuit is the colour we could find in the middle between warm and cold, hard and soft and heavy and light. The light blue from the pants and the sleeve is also in the middle of heavy and light.
