TAKE A WALK OUTSIDE

Going for a walk outside will get you in a more positive state of mind. Being in nature will not only make you feel better and it is super healthy as well. It will reduce stress by lowering the heart rate and thinking about something else than your problems. The brain will produce endorphins which will help you to get into a better mood.

FRESH AIR:

Getting fresh air is probably something you have heard of already. But do you also know why it has such a big impact on you? When you take a walk outside the brain function improves, especially if you spend most of your time indoors. This is because the brain creates oxygen when you inhale. Oxygen is very important in maintaining healthy brain function, growth, and healing. In fact, the brain uses about three times as much oxygen for healthy neuron function, as muscles do. The brain is extremely sensitive to decreases in oxygen levels.

IMPROVE CONCENTRATION:

Spending time outdoors in nature improves concentration. When looking at children with ADHD, it gets clear that playing in fresh air lowered the symptoms of the disorder while they performed the same tasks as fellow children who spent less time in nature.

INCREASED VITAMIN D:

Vitamin D is extremely important as it is essential for the general functioning of our bodies. Besides decreasing inflammation, it protects the neurons in our brains and is responsible for neurotransmitter synthesis and nerve growth.

Stress Reduction: Spending time in nature has the effect of stress reduction by lowering heart rates and decreased feelings of insecurity. Furthermore, the brain produces more endorphins which regulate a positive mood.
